i ordered a ap30001d on wed last week and they said ill have to wait 2 weeks cuz they wont have it in stock til then, or i can pick out another brand amp they have on their website and i was thinking of 2 ap1500ds for the same price plus a $40 credit or something. Im tryin to power 1 hdc3 15 and i want to give it 1500rms with out dealing with full tilt on the amp im tryin to get the cleanest power to it without clipping the sub is a dual 2 let me kno what u guys think.. btw this is goin in a 1996 grand cherokee with the 130amp alt

Whats the ohm load of your sub? And if you can't wait just go for the two 1500's and strap them

reading>me lol. This issue your gonna have is both options will not go down to a 1 ohm which is what your sub does. So your kinda up shits creek with the audiopipes. You need a 1 ohm stable amp

Agreed, you're going to need an amp that's 1ohm stable that can give that HDC3 the power it needs. If I'm reading it correctly, you only want to give it 1500watts? In that case, you're only going to need a single AP15001D, not two.

it is but strapped they would only be 2 ohm stable just like the 3000

Yeah, that's what I realized when I read the thread again. What I'm confused about is if he wants to power it with only 1500watts, or if he wants 3k available in case he wanted it for the future (strapped AP1500's or single AP3k). In his post, he said he wanted 1500w, but he wants to strap a pair or use the 3K.

ok I also could run 4ohms bridged on the 3k and make 1800wrms more effiectint and cleaner than at one ohm. and if thays not enough than ill just pick up another sub but don't know how I would run it one sub on each channel or wat what do u guys suggest on that one.
