How would they compare to an RE 8?

From what I can gather, louder. I have yet to play with either of those woofers, however, so my input is rather unimportant.

Edit - and you're not going to break those star bits loose with a screwdriver. No no no no no, best outcome of that is stripped screw(which I doubt will happen), sprained wrist, or broken screwdriver(which did happen haha)

It takes the start bit + a good bit of torque on your part to break those free.

Is it an Ext Cab or Full Four Door FX4 you're working with?
Three 15's ported below the window line?

8 ported 10's would work well, I will give you that.

Why dont you jump on the wagon, for **** near the price of the 1510 you could grab HDC's.

Also - what power/how many batts/alts are you looking to run, out of curiousity?

Idk about a alt yet. And I plan to have 2 or 3 battcapp 2000's (i think)

If you're planning on 3 batts and an alt, I'm going to say you'd be fairly safe at 4k maybe 5k RMS, which is probablay where you want to be.

The reason I want to do DD is because I'm a friend with a guy who has a shop and he sells DD (12 Gauge in my sig).

I'm still a noob somewhat so I just want to stick with a big square box that I can drop in the back of my truck. But a full wall might be pretty sweet though.
