What should I add to my Sound Deadening?

I used about 20 sq ft of Dynamat XTreme that I had left from an old install and then switched over to a pack of Damplifier Pro. Currently, I have one layer in the doors and the trunk.

I have been thinking about investing in more material to reduce leftover trunk rattle (mainly from the rear deck and trunk lid). Should I get another layer of mat? Should I add a layer of ensolite or luxury liner? Sludge?

I have only had experience with mat before. While searching, sludge seems to have some positive reviews, but I am not sure which would be the most beneficial for me here.

I never tried sludge but have used some cascade and I love liquids now. If you are getting crazy with deadener you need to get stuff out of the way anyway and cascade rolls on easy, I imagine the sludge rolling on easy too. I think I would do mat in doors and roof only from now on liquid every where else and gobs of it.

How long did it take for your liquids to dry? My vehicle is a daily driver, and I have no place to store it. So, I could make a trip to say... a friend's house early Saturday morning, apply... and leave the car there for the day. Come nightfall, I need to be able to close the trunk and go.

It takes like 5-7 days for the sludge to fully cure, best to have a second car if you're going to do that. Go to the second skin website, it has a fair description of what each type of noise reduction product is good for.

I put on a coat at 545am second at 840am third at 1100am fourth at 230. I used thin coats and in 10 minutes it started to thicken/turn black. The parts that where blue still I rolled over the black to spread it out more. I put one more coat on the next day but if there was no mat under it I would have added two more. I think the way it looks when done is better than a mat, it is just like a sandpapery flat black. It was not humid at all when I did it so if its humid it may take longer. I suggest maybe a space heater and a fan. No real smell to it even less that raamat. smells like a very low odor latex paint. I would like to try sludge on my friend truck when he gets its. I still have a little cascade left I want to do a side by side if I can find a little sludge someone has leftover.
