Always Wear Protection

So I did the big 3, and with all these wires in my engine bay, I figure I should use some heat protection for them right?

But I've already got all the wires hooked onto fuses etc and it'll be a ***** to unconnect them all to put heat shrink tubing on them.

Does that split plastic tubing do anything against engine heat? Or will it melt?

Could I wrap all my wires in electrical tape? Would that serve as heat protection against the engine? Or will it melt or something..?

you might want to look into the techflex stuff for heat problems, only thing is you will have to take one end off to feed it over the wire. Best thing is to set aside a n evening or a morning or whatever when you don't have to be anywhere and just go at it.
