What Obamacare has in store for you

Face it, Canada is the New America.. I hate to admit it because I like to think Im about at patriotic as they come. Hell I would buy up some land in Canada and start building for after the collapse America is headed for.. But the housing market is Canada is still inflated. They work off of a different system this is slowly cracking at the foundation and if something isnt done soon they will see a market crash similar to the one we exerienced.. At which point I will pounce! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif

I'm still pretty confused about this bill. I used to follow politics pretty closely up until several months ago and I knew very little about the law even then.

So, since I am a college student in my early 20's and both my parents will be retired soon means that I won't have health insurance. Does that mean I have to buy a health care policy? If so, that ***** because I never really have problems besides a cold/flu once in awhile. My school offers a health insurance plan but that is only at the school's medical center I think.

the people who say they are moving to Canada, have you even been to Canada and know what it's like over there to be saying dumb shit like that?
Really? Its ok to trash Canada because we are on the right track??

Obamacare- you can clearly see the issues there

NDAA- The most controversial provisions to receive wide attention are contained in Title X, Subtitle D, entitled "Counter-Terrorism." In particular, sub-sections 1021 and 1022, which deal with detention of persons the government suspects of involvement in terrorism, have generated controversy as to their legal meaning and their potential implications for abuse of Presidential authority. Although the White House[9] and Senate sponsors[10] maintain that the Authorization for Use of Military Force (AUMF) already grants presidential authority for indefinite detention, the Act states that Congress "affirms" this authority and makes specific provisions as to the exercise of that authority.[11][12] The detention provisions of the Act have received critical attention by, among others, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), the Bill of Rights Defense Committee, and some media sources which are concerned about the scope of the President's authority, including contentions that those whom they claim may be held indefinitely could include U.S. citizens arrested on American soil, including arrests by members of the Armed Forces.

Patriot Act- The act, as a response to the terrorist attacks of September 11th, dramatically reduced restrictions in law enforcement agencies' gathering of intelligence within the United States; expanded the Secretary of the Treasury’s authority to regulate financial transactions, particularly those involving foreign individuals and entities; and broadened the discretion of law enforcement and immigration authorities in detaining and deporting immigrants suspected of terrorism-related acts. The act also expanded the definition of terrorism to include domestic terrorism, thus enlarging the number of activities to which the USA PATRIOT Act’s expanded law enforcement powers can be applied.

On May 26, 2011, President Barack Obama signed a four-year extension of three key provisions in the USA PATRIOT Act:[2] roving wiretaps, searches of business records (the "library records provision"), and conducting surveillance of "lone wolves" — individuals suspected of terrorist-related activities not linked to terrorist groups.

SOAP, PIPA, Etc. etc... it never ends. But, hey, dont buy insurance.. just talk $h!t about the governments messed up laws on your legally tapped telephone and be throw into prison indefinitely with no trial

As long as you make less than $10,000/year as an indiviual or $25,000 as a family, the you will be cover under the poverty umbrella. Otherwise you are required to get insurance or pay a federal fine equal too $650 or 2.5% of your income, which ever is greater.

I've been in between jobs for a long time and can really only do part-time if I find something. So as long as I don't make ish for money, I get free healthcare (probably pretty crappy-long wait times)? Isn't that what we had before with Medicaid? There is so much bureaucratic ish in this healtcare crap, I'm glad I didn't invest any more school time into becoming a PA.

But also, as stated earlier, any decent self-respecting Dr. is going to become privatized. So YOU have to decided:

1) Pay monthly insurance premium and deal with sub-par healthcare

2) Pay monthly insurance premium and STILL pay out of pocket for better Healthcare with a decent private physician

3) DO NOT get insurance, pay the Federal Fine of the greater ($650/2.5% income), and use the WOULD BE insurance premium payments to pay off the INSANE privatized physician bill.

As I stated in another thread I live in one of the states where the Governor has said that she will not follow ObamaCare. There was 4 of us this morning and there's 6 now. So the #'s are growing. Why would a state follow anything that this smug and smarmy Chicago POS has enacted. Even if the Supreme Court has made it so. The Supreme court made pulling people over and asking for their Green Card legal as well. But the President has asked that ICE not cooperate in sending them back to Mexico. It's kind of like Eric Holder going after Arizona for trying to enforce their immigration laws that are already on the books and then not looking twice at the Black Panthers for putting a price on the head of George Zimmerman. The Justice Dept doesn't follow the constitution, the president doesn't follow the constitution so why would we?

This is all conjecture anyway. When Romney gets in he's going to issue a waiver to all 50 states to get rid of it. And even if you live in a liberal bastion like New York or California the DEMOCRATIC governors will turn it down as well. They know its a quick way to **** off their citizens and be buried even deeper in debt. And don't try to use the media's bullshlt about RomneyCare. What might've been good for one state does not make it good all 50. And do you really want to turn over 17% of the economy to the government. I would like someone to name one thing that the government has ran that was in the black (that means it turns a profit to all you liberal genius' out there).

This is isn't even about healthcare and Obama being such a good, caring guy. It's about information. If someone has your medical records they have everything. Think about it. And then think about who is going to put the "anonymous" 15 people in charge of deciding who lives and who dies. You think they might go after the registered Republicans first? I could go on and on but I would think you get the point.....

Idk if you have ever owed the IRS money, but they get theirs! Parents were threatened in a letter from the IRS that they would be losing their house over 13,000. They send one notice. "Pay Now" and 30 days later they will start the process. Its not as simple as "just not following the healthcare law". As for most of everything else you stated (RomneyCare, and issues with medical records), I do agree, BUT I wouldn't be so certain about Romney's success already. While most Americans are oppose the majority of what Obama stands for he does still whole the race card. Admittedly he is a black male and will receive African america votes based solely on this. He has implemented new immigration deportation laws that unarguably will win him tons of Hispanic votes. There are still tons of Caucasian college students who like his extension on student loan interest and other supporters.. While people don't like MOST of the things he has done, he is very flashy, and with the "slight of hand" trick is able to persuade the ignorant people of america into looking the opposite way.

EDIT: I only bring up the multi-race's issue because Romney is not able to drive through a state and give a speech without being racially profiled. On SEVERAL occations he has been boo'd, trash talked, had things thrown at him, and told to leave WITHOUT even stepping off his tour bus. Its clear evidence that LOTS of people dont care about the issues, just color.

With that being said, I am not implying that Mitt Romney is the savior this country needs. Simply saying one should vote for the lesser of two evils.
