Do you think the problem lies within the HeadUnit itself?

if it plays outside of the dash then that means there isnt a hu problem, other than the fact that it may have shoddy skip protection

it isnt skipping when its in your hand because your body isnt solid enough to vibrate like your dash is. Once you MOUNT it, it is getting each and every vibration the rest of your dash is from the sub's output.
