What is a good setup for stock electrical and 3.5 cubes gross?

Does anyone know if you gain a little bit of efficiency with a bigger box? Say I buy 2 DC LVL 3 12's and put them on a Soundqubed 1200 amp. That's only 1200 watts for 2 900rms subs so they would each only be seeing about 2/3 power. Could I compensate for some of that by building the box a little bigger? It says they each need only 1.25 cubes. Maybe I could build a box that each would be seeing 1.5 cubes and that would make up for some power inadequencies?

Alright I messaged Rusty about how much airspace they need. I'm just curious about why the DC LVL 3's are twice the price of a HDS312.

Ok. I really am torn. I kind of want to just get one HDS312 and put it in a 2.5-3 cubes box and tune it to 32hz and see what it does. The DC subs are almost double the price.

I personally would get an FU audio 750 12". I loved mine and the V2s are even better.

Lvl 3s are overpriced for what you get. They arent a bad sub, but there are too many comparable subs for 100$ less.

2 lvl 3 12s would still sound good on the sq 1200. But I really cant say they are significantly better than the hds312s.

Also, dont rule out a pair of 10s
