What fuse to use?

So 4 gauge will be fine? Then use 8 gauge wire from the dist block to the amps and use anything from 40-50A fuse in the dist block for my 40A amp. Then for my sub do i add the 2 fuses together and that will be the one which i use in my dist block?
Yes, I believe a guy at the local shop told me to fuse 10amps up from the amplifier fusing. It's not necessary, I'm not doing it, but it's probably good practice. So, 50amp for your smaller amp. Then, whatever the total fusing is on the sub amp, 10 up from that. And I've never worked with distro blocks, but each output should have its own fusing in the block, so you'd fuse there. And you'd have to ask someone else if you still need an inline fuse before the distro block, coming off the battery. I would assume so, but couldn't say for sure. If you did need one, it'd just be the total of whatever your system is fused for.

You absolutely can not use that 14 gauge kit. I don't know who it's kidding, but that will not work for an amp. and it's expensive as hell!!! I use 12 gauge wiring just for my speaker signals.

And your sub doesn't have any fusing in it, the amplifier for your sub does. 25amps of fusing for a sub amplifier is a very low powered amp.

If you could tell us what your equipment is, we could help you a little easier. What amplifiers are you running, and what subwoofers are you running?

And where is the link for this 4 gauge wiring kit? It shouldn't be coming with only a 60amp fuse, my 4 gauge kit is rated for 120amps.

Yeh it came with my old amp, i thought it looked a bit small. So i will have a 35 amp fuse in the dist block for my sub a 50 for my speaker amp and say a 80-90 amp inline with the power cable?

I have a vibe CBR12 active sub it has a 25 amp fuse in the back, a fusion am45020 2 channel amp which i will be using for my door speakers and i'm looking at this wiring kit and dist block:

2000W Complete Amplifier/AMP Wiring Kit 4 Gauge 60 AMP | eBay

4 WAY AGU FUSE BLOCK GOLD PLATED - NEW + 5 FREE FUSES! | eBay

Yikes. That's some interesting equipment there... haha.

But I don't see how that speaker amp needs even 40amps of fusing, so I'd just do 40 for that. and 30 for sub. And a total of 70amp inline fusing and you're good.

As long as you don't plan on upgrading, all that gear will be just fine for you. But if you do think you'll want better equipment in the future, I'd strongly suggest putting out the cash for a good, true 4 gauge kit. Cus I can assure you that the amp kit there is not true 4 gauge. But for what you're running now, it's fine.

I recommend 4g power wire to a bulb/. dist block with an inline 150 amp anl fuse max. and use about a 30 amp max for that amp on the subs,.But if your not going to do anymore with supply or monster hungry amps 8 will be fine for now,but just watch your amperage on the amps you purchase.4 ga is safe for all supply to most general set ups.I run 4 to a dist block to an old school amps set up with an Autotek bts 7150 at 2 ohms on my 1000rms 2-10s,and a 6farad cap,and running the USA US Acoustics zed audio 4080 0n my mids n highs,Using a 30 amp for the Acoustics, and 40 on the Autotek.Working just fine!!!

Just remember, if you change cars you can pull the wire out and use in your next set up.I recommend 12 g on the sub wiring no less,i recommend either 12 or 14 g for all other speakers,14 is fine wouldnt go less than that, plenty for every day banging,Unless your going to compete???Then youre on a different level and need experienced people ect.I thin this Forum is great,Its a way to help and to retrieve info from those who have experienced or do it daily.I hope this helps.

So shall i buy the vibe kit then? Then a dist block and some 8 gauge wiring? Then fuse my sub with 30A and speaker amp with 40A at the dist block then fuse my inline with the 80A supplied?

I think the 4ga kit will be all you need.Just be sure to look on the amps where the fuses go and put the required fuse in that the amplifier calls for,and 8 ga wire to the amps you can buy by the foot to save you from spending more $ on a kit.Why i use a dist block to supply my amps from, and if a fuse blows, its all rt there and easy to get too,and instead of unhooking the power from the battery to amps you can just take the fuse out on the dist block and you have supply for future amps/fans or?$ga is plenty for most car audio systems. You can always upgrade the in line fuse in the future too. But it sounds fine man
