ok just got back from home depot and this is what i picked up...

1 sheet of 3/4 mdf

25' fraction measuring tape

4 spring clamps

bottle of gorilla glue

i have a table saw and jigsaw that i will be using to cut the wood... what else do i need to start this project.well i also need a box plan,lol.

More clamps and screws. take back the gorilla glue and get titebond I, II or III or get Elmer's Probond.

A large compass

If you have a air compressor, you can pick up a nail gun that shoots up to 2" brad nails at Harbor Freight for $15. I got mine a few weeks ago but havent got a chance to use it for a enclosure yet.

Corner clamps sometimes go on sale for $2 at Harbor Freight. I bought a few but never used em because they up too much time to use.

THey are conected by a webbed strap. You put the clamps on the corners and cinch down the strap. i must confess the titebond makes a MUCH better bond though. I did a side by side comparison with titebond (III i think..i have pics somewhere) gorilla glue pro bond and 5min epoxy, the clear winners were titebond and probond, both causing the MDF to break before the glue join, epoxy was better than gorilla glue and gorilla glue just plain sucked IMO.

on another note, not to hijack your thread, but where can you buy a nice compass? Wal-mart has nothing i'd use

Older thread (few days) but I thought I'd contribute anyway.

Gorilla glue sucks for box building IMO.Titebond is cheaper and works better IMO.

For the cut-out just make a home made jig.
