i was thinking of doing a port plug. 35 hz. daily and maybe 45 hz. for spl. don't do comps but it would be nice to be able to blast it a couple times. isn't 5 to 6 cubes kinda big? i was thinking maybe 4-4.5 cubes after displacement and maybe have the sub fire up and the port face the tailgate.

hmm im doing a 5.8 cF ported to 36 Hz after all displacement for my shocker super extreme, i only have about 1200w rms for it right now tho...until i get new alty and v4000xd, bp1200.1 will have to work for now

haha and talk to me about space...going in a geo prizm, im gonna need to take the back seat out (maybe one of the fronts) to put in the box...just too cold out right now to do it and none of my friends have a garage with some type of heating

i'd do the 4 L5's if i were you, set em up in a low tuned ported get some sq out of em

To Be Honest With U.....i Would Go With Kicker L7's...the Have A Defect That They Still Havent Fixed Yet...............its The Little Support That Holds The Spider,voice Coil And Is Attacted 2 The Cone....when The Speaker Is Moving, And Heat Is Being Generated...the Glue Thats Holding The Support That Holds All 3 Of These Vital Parts 2gether...melt And Come Apart....thats Why I Dont By L7's...the Bass No Doubt Is Good But Personally I Think The Overall Sound Quality Is Not As Good As The Round Solobarics.

well my friend had hooked up 4 L58's that was being powered by a kx1200 and let me tell u..8's hit hard...they may not go as deep as 15's but they will beat the hell out of u..now with 8's u can cheat on the low end if u put an epicenter in but then u have 2 get speakers like 8w7 2 move that extra air

as far as 10's u can have good sq with 4 of them...just make sure that the box is spec to the speaker and u should be fine.....beinging that u only using one amp..i'd suggest L5 10's if u want to stick with them....or mtx 7510

i'm thinking on scrapping the 4 10's idea and going with 2 12's. possibly 2 IA LI12's in a ported box.
