teg has his xxx in a 5.5 tuned 30hz daily 50 for comp. and ive heard of 9 cubes for a 18xxx so the 5-6 range isnt to big for the woofer. my guess is if you made it about 2^3ft bigger than you have right now that you would have a noticable increase in spl however im not sure how much im just going off of what others have said. if you can build boxs then spend the $25 for a new sheet of mdf and try out the new box idea. it would be less trouble than switching voer your whole system and if you dont like it your only out $25 or you may be able to sell the box and get some money or break even. atleast that way youll know if it makes a differance to you or not. if not then get them l78s they should have some nice poundage to em.

the problem is i'm not a good craftsmen and i **** at building boxes. i'm gonna have the box built by another forum member, so i'm trying to decide what i want to do.

well Supa is saying that 3.5 is the reccomended enclosure size for the brahma. which i didnt know i figured it was simular to the xxx. so dosnt look like youll get to much more spl out of it without sacraficing some sq and tuning it higher. so if your looking for louder the l7s seem like a good idea to me

that's what i was thinking. there would be a lot more cone area on the 4 10's then the one 15. i didn't want to spend a whole lot on this project. i got some stuff i was gonna sell to pay for it and i found some 10's on ebay for $100 a piece. still might go with 3 12's though. throw out some other ideas guys //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

To Be Honest With U.....i Would not Go With Kicker L7's...the Have A Defect That They Still Havent Fixed Yet...............its The Little Support That Holds The Spider,voice Coil And Is Attacted 2 The Cone....when The Speaker Is Moving, And Heat Is Being Generated...the Glue Thats Holding The Support That Holds All 3 Of These Vital Parts 2gether...melt And Come Apart....thats Why I Dont By L7's...the Bass No Doubt Is Good But Personally I Think The Overall Sound Quality Is Not As Good As The Round Solobarics.
