OK, I used MS Paint so don't mind the shitty "photo chop" aspect of it as much as the overall appearance difference. Which do you like better? I am trying to get the "smooth" look that I like and add a little rake to it but I am pretty limited with what I can do with just MS Paint so... I think it gets the point across though... I just wish I could get the 17" black Bullit wheels in there somehow but....

It will be getting like 15% tint all around too but no way in hell I could do that using MS paint LOL...

#1 is "stock" and not an option, just put it there for comparison

#2 is with all my "little" changes

#3 is the same as #2 but WITH door handles

I am just not 100% sure I want to commit to shaving the door handles. I am trying to make the car more my style while at the same time not butcher it. I don't see a need to keep it really stock though as the drivetrain will be FAR from stock, it will get a "mini tub" (widening the stock wheel tubs) for now and a bunch of other changes so it will be a resto-mod not matter what...

1.

2.

3.

for those interested, here's a few pics of the engine that will be going in it... Should be pretty easy to tell what it is but just in case I will give a couple hints... 6-bolt cross sectional main caps, 32 valves, DOHC, 281 CID... Forged crank, H-beams, Forged 21cc dished pistons, balanced blue printed etc... 70mm turbo

Wheels are going to be the 17x9/10.5 black Bullit wheels. I am planning to keep the "stock" looking paint job, as I want to keep it relatively stock looking on the outside, just with the few "shaves" and what not. Basically I want the average guy to kind of have to look at it to see what all is different rather than all teh changes popping out at you. i like to keep the changes "subtle" but still noticeable... If that makes sense LOL

I like number 1.
bone stock is not my favorite look LOL... not really an option I just put that there so you could compare it to a "stock" car...

Yeah, I get what you're saying. I'd still lose those stripes on the sides, though.
may be... those are actually not even the '73 stripes, 71-72 IIRC, '73 they changed to just a regular "bar" down toward the bottom...

Paint is still something I cannot decide on. I like that "factory" look but something like a REALLY dark purple I think would look killer too! but I love this look!! Being such a big car I think the "two tone" really breaks it up a little and helps the look.

I know... that is a '72 but I was planning to use that stripe kit on my '73

this is the "correct" look for a '73, not my favorite... however thinking about it now, if I put 71-72 stripes on a '73 people will probably think I am fukkin retarded so... may be a solid color would be best, IDK, I have a while to think about it so... the interior is black leather so I can pretty much do ANY color I want... I seen this '40 Merc. that I fukkin loved, looked black until the light hit it and then you could tell it was a CRAZY dark blue color. I am not sure I want to get into that kind of paint job though...
