What do you guys do with your detachable head units

When you leave your vehicle ,do you tkae your head unit with you ?

I usuallly do.

If I'm at an event like car show or concert, I let my wife keep it in her purse.

Detachable head unit? A 'pull-out'? I haven't seen one of those in years.

But now if you mean a detachable face, I usually just leave mine, or place it out of sight. But Im hella lazy.

normally in the glove box or console if i dont like the area im parking in radar detector as well normally in the glove box

i just leave it on, too lazy to hide it anywhere. And if u leave it in ur car they can still take it once they have broken in

Yeah, I mean detachable face.

I remember back in the day,having the whole head unit that was detachable, just took it out at the end of the day. [ too much trouble ]

Both my faceplate and my radar detector get put in the zipper pocket on the front of my CD case and get taken with me.

Silly as it may be to some (and coupled with the facts that it isn't always a good theft deterrent (sp?) as some thieves will simply steal or damage the chassis out of spite if they can't get the whole unit) those faceplates are removable for a reason.

I take mine with me. If it prevents even one idiot from trying to jack my gear then it has done its job.

I generally just leave it in. Only problem I ever had was when i had my windows open at work, and one of my buddies took it off and hid it in the glove box.

I take out my face plate and garage remote every night. Sort of stupid I guess. Too lazy to use a house key and my quads took over my side of the garage.

My deck has the D-mask/security code so I just leave it in. Plus its older than dirt.

Yeah, when I first got my stang, the guy gave me the wheel lock key & I put it somewhere in my house.

Did not want the theives to break in my car & steal my wheels too.

Well, just recently I had to replace the wheel locks because, i lost the original wheel lock key.

i detach mine and LOCK my glove works like a charm...
