You may want to use them to secure the box down in the car. If you use plenty of good wood glue you don't need anything else. The screws will just pull it tight and hold it in place while the glue dries.

Will home depot of osh cut the wood to a precise fit for me?

A good table saw! And as far as adhesive the best thing I have found is PL industrial adhesive. You stick two boards together with that and the wood will fail before the joint. I also use angle iron when building a box inside a car which is to large to assemble out side of car. when you can get to the out side edge to put in screws.

The way I built my last box was with 3,500 pound strength wood glue. Then I put L-brackets on all the walls of the enclosure. And the box was screwed together and all predrilled before the screws went in. All the screws were about 2" long. And the glue was pretty solid. I tested it by screwing two pieces of mdf together. When I took the screws out about 2 minutes later. I tried taking the two mdf pieces apart and I had to use a hammer. And the glue said it had to dry for 24 hours and it was really strong in 2 minutes. Box is pretty solid after everything.

I build a frame out of 2" x 2" oak boards fastened together from opposite ends with 3/8" threaded rod bored through the center with recesses at the ends for washers, nuts, and plenty of locktight, to form a cube or rectangular shaped frame. Then I screw the double panels of 1” MDF onto this. I use dove-tail joints on the MDF panels. Gives me allot of strength at the seams. Then I use 1 1/2" wooden dowels fit through holes on opposing sides of MDF for bracing, glued in. I split the ends of the dowels and hammer in oak shims with my 25 lbs hammer to tighten the dowels grip on the MDF. I also coat the whole box in resin, and then test it out down at the river just to be sure it is waterproof. See the enclosed picture of our Heineken sub box built for the company big-rig being tested at the park. The funky pups still destroyed the company funded project after only a month on the roads though. It slammed while it lasted though!

Should you always use resin?? How much does it cost ? So from my understanding you put the resin on the box after you have screwed and glued the box together to make ti stronger??

dont use liquid nails, pre drill that shit as previously stated otherwise your wood will be crying and so will you.
