What do I use to build a box?

I know to use 3/4" MDF wood but what do I use to put it together.. Am I supposed to use some kind of wood glue or ?

yes, liquid nail or elmeyrs wood glue. dont be too shy with the glue. then you can eaither screw or use a nailer also. for me, i use screws,espically with sealed boxes.

If you plan to use screws be sure to drill pilot holes for them //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif If you don't you will end up splitting the wood and weakening the whole thing. Nails create the same problem but not as bad.

about a pound per cu foot. and if its sealed, use a good amount of glue

3/4" MDF, titebond II, 1 5/8" drywall screws, drill bit.

Predrill the screws or you'll kill the wood.

Or get SPAX screws that don't need pre-drilling and won't split the wood, but they're like $9 a box....

Also need caulk to seal up the inside seams...

I use Elmers Pro-Bond wood glue when i build boxes, its fairly cheap and works pretty well. DEFINITELY predrill the holes, MDF splits quite easily

yeah, the silicone is great, I used $2 white household silicone caulk in a squeeze-tube (like toothpaste) last time i built a box
