What do I use to build a box?

Just use the same adhesize you used for the joints...no point in buying something else to do the job IMO.

yeah, the silicone is great, I used $2 white household silicone caulk in a squeeze-tube (like toothpaste) last time i built a box

I use...

1) Construction grade subfloor adhesive(made by Titebond or Dap, strongest stuff I can find...).

2) 1-1/8 or 1-5/8 coarse thread drywall screws(coarse thread is VERY important).

3) Predrill for every screw.

4) Or just use a brad nailer instead of screws. I prefer the screws because they really **** things up nice and tight.

about a pound per cu foot. and if its sealed, use a good amount of glue

i use only wood glue for a true chemical bond..titebond 3 is my favorite. COrner clamps and bar clamps FTW. I only use one type of screw anymore...the best ever http://www.deckmatescrews.com/ .....#71 5/8"s ...and i predrill.

So I am going to be using titebond 2 wood glue and screws to build it? That is all I need? Also when people say put polyfill in the box how much are they talking about?

I may be wrong but don't you only use polyfill if the box is too small?

for the corners and edges...more strength i suppose...just like people add resin and bracing as well.. I figure its just 1 more thing... waste??

No reason for "L" brackets if your glue joint is solid.

I only use Bondo to fill in screw holes, and to smooth out boxes that get painted...
