I have almost no experience with car audio, so please don't talk technical, help me out by explaining and using links.

I ordered some PYLE PLG64 6.5 in 300W Mid-Bass woofers - I know they're cheap, but because I know little I figure they are a good start. They'll be mounted in the rear mounts (over the trunk). Here are the specs:

Yellow CD P.P. Cone - Magnet Weight: 30 Oz

Specially Treated Rubber - Impedance: 4 OHM

Edge Suspension - Rubber Magnet Boot Cover

1.0'' High Temperature - 300 Watts Peak Power

Aluminum Voice Coil - Mounting Depth: 2.84"

I'm using a Pioneer AVH5700DVD deck with these specs:

Power Per Channel 50 Watts x 4 Channels

Pre-Amp Outputs 3 Channels

Input Connectors RGB x 1, AV x 1, AV-Bus x 1, Camera x 1

Output Connectors AV x 1

What do I need to get the low frequencies out of these speakers? Do I need an Amp? If so, what should I look for?

Signal flow should be HU to DSP to amps. You would lose the ability to EQ and time align the sub with the DSP unit if you bypassed the DSP.
