actually I do. My mom's coworker put a new transmission in his 03 at 40k. My friends dad is a mechanic at a private shop and he says he sees suburbans, avalanches, and 1500's getting new transmissions more than anything else.

those 2 door blazers can get pretty loud, decent amout of space. Ive also seen someone go from a explorer to a 4 door blazer with the same system, and the explorer was a heck of alot louder. but that was me back in the day with a virgin ear to subs and loudness.

get a newer explorer, i think the jimmys and blazers are ugly. I have a 94 explorer eddie bauer style but the engine is going up because of some factory problem and its been having oil pressure issues. but at 156k miles i can't complain. i wouldn't get a 5.0 explorer. just get one with the 4.0 v6 they look good and get great gas mileage. or get an explorer sport which are the 2 door version i think they come in manual too

get a trailblazer! bigger than an explorer, its got more balls, and has an inline 6 so it doesnt guzzle too much gas
