"I'm the one who explores all posibilities to get the best sound for me.", very good and everybody tries to do that, but not everybody has the time, money, expertise, knowledge that YOU have, and for THOSE the recommended sizes work very good. That is my point not that if you are wrong or right.

I'm really confused here. You say that manufacturers' recommendations on enclosure sizes offer the best possible sound and then you say you don't just blindly follow them. Are you now saying that you play around with different enclosures? Well sounds like a pretty dumb idea if the manufacturers really are offering the best possible enclosure.

Some people just can't handle being wrong.
