You know, did you guys ever think that maybe someone just wanted to build their setup that way, with those mixed sized subs? I mean, its their decision to - and honestly, I doubt it sounded bad. Actually, it prolly sounded pretty darn loud, and I'd imagine SQ wise it was still pretty good based on the type of subs we're talking about. Sure, is it the best way to go? No, and I'm sure it has its draw backs - but you guys act like mixing one sub thats a different size all of a sudden emits fart sounds out of your car.

Uh, I read through both threads of his about these subs, and all I've seen after his post, is 20 people posting "LOL CANCELLATIONNNNzz" and "lol dun mix subz noob"

I doubt more than half of the people have ever even heard a system with mixed subs, let alone a system of mixed w6v2's. So to say it automatically sounds terrible without actually hearing it, I'd say those people need to STFU.

Your proof that your system defied all the rules was a group of highschool kids that said it sounded good. It is obvious there is no arguing with someone who accepts that sort of mentality. I wish you well in your crystal palace, may it stand forever.

I expected that response, please stop falling back on my comment that 20 friends at highschool said it sounded good.... of course they were not the only ones who heard it, everyone did, The JL audio dealer trying to convince me the same thing you are and getting me to buy another 13, was "shocked" at the quality and loudness. I've given you scientific logical proof that no laws say my setup HAD to sound bad, it could've if i'd done it differently, YOUR WHOLE point is purely subjective. There is no law that says "different amplitude responces MUST cause excessive cancellation at certain frequencies... in fact the over-all effects of cancellation are more sporatic yet less severe.

The only way you would ever admit reguardless of all the proof and quotes i could give you that it could've actually sounded good, is if you heard it yourself, which can't happen. So keep trying to prove that it HAD to sound bad, when i just showed how that is a load of crap.

You do not understand cancellation whatsoever, doyou even know what those pictures really show or did you just google picture search for cancellation?

You arguing and showing picture of total cancellation when thats not what hes even saying, regardless you have 2 different subs playing the same information at different levels is going to cause a form of cancellation that you would not have with one or the other.

She said there was extreme cancellation, so I switched the polarity on one of my subs and not only did she say it fixed the cancellation, but I know they are louder now because the excursion increased like crazy

NEWS FLASH asshat, Thiele small parameters can dictate the peformance of a speaker across frequencies and levels, not the soundwave itself. If a sub is playing 40hz, it's playing 40hz, requardless of the level of amplitude, mechanical distorition, force factors, etc. Your concern in looking at T/s parameters has nothing to do with "boy i sure hope this sub plays 40hz as 40hz, not 41hz. The T/s parameters might be important in selecting the individual subs themselves, but not in determining any levels of cancellation, Esspecially between 2 subs as similar as the 10w6v2 and 13w6v2... if i had added a pair of sony xplodes, this might be different
