I was one of the good one's that knew what he was doing at O O O, Oreilly's. For future reference... they can look up parts by your V.I.N. and get you the correct part... I will bet that 93% of them working there don't even know that. It's a good idea to have it written down and carried on you. Also, if your Oreilly's has a commercial department, I'd speak to that person first as they "usually" are more knowledgeable than the regular staff. One last thought... if they look in the computer and can't find what you need and tell you it's something you will have to go to the dealership for without double checking in the parts books... you know, those bound stacks of paper with words on them, tell them to f**k off. F.Y.I. our commercial department supplied FORD, GM, and DODGE with parts.

God damn Comcast..... Worst company in the world....
Don't go to their website and read the fine print about the internet speeds and what they are doing to it. You'll shit a brick... if you are paying for a specific speed and think that's what you are getting, think again. I was paying an *** ton for 100Mb internet and it was ALWAYS glitchy and slow. I did many many speed test and I was literally seeing speeds 70% less than what I was paying for, everyday for months. They tried to say it was my equipment or my computer or the devices I had hooked up to the internet and that they needed to send a tech out to find the issue... at my cost of course. It was NONE of those things but they get away with it because most customers are ignorant to what they are doing and the issues they are creating.

It is Comcast policy to throttle YOUR internet to free up bandwidth for others who may need the bandwidth. They tried to tell me they only do it during "Peak" hours... Lies. I work during peak hours... they were doing it to me all hours of the night from 9pm to 4am. They are liars and thieves and they think because they put it in the fine print that it makes it ok. I was paying over $150 for my 100Mb and I was getting 30Mb. f**k You Comcast!

I was asked the number of bolts it has. Didn't know and had to run home to check and went back. I crawled under and took a few pics of it but there's several kits out there very similar to the one I needed. Yup, well aware of vin number....didn't help. Don't know why either.

I find it's MUCH easier to just bring in the old part and match up with the new one they have. Saves a lot of time and headache and 4 guys standing around scratching their heads trying to figure it out.

You are right, always easier to bring the part if it's the correct part to start with.. Much like my current job, I also had to deal with guys just standing around, who were completely clueless at Oreillys... I am assuming then that you have a shallow pan?

I pay for 150 MBPS download and get around 170 download. The speed isn't the problem. The constant f*****g outages and days with not internet for them to come fix it is the problem.  Was just out for 4 days because thats the "soonest they could get to me". Finally got fixed. "Signal amplifier went out". 3 days later its randomly going out again.   I've had them out 3 times this year alone for issues. Probably 10 times last year. Dropped their cable because of issues and $200 a month bills. So when the internet is out there is nothing. Plus where I live phone service is pretty bad.

They say its a $70 charge if the issue is on my end. Yet every time its on their end and I only get $2 a day refunded that its out.

I could ***** about them for hours but i'll stop with that cluster f**k of typing.

Yup. Course I forgot to tell the wifey to get some ****** fluid while there. She got some yesterday tho. I don't know who told her I needed 5 quarts when 3 filled it up.....

They may have read that it needed 5... you know, for that deep pan you don't have. I hate going to the Oreilly here... there is one old guy that likes to argue with me about what I am looking for every time I go in there.

Exactly. Because a computer told them to.  :waycrazy:

I think we'd all shit a brick if computers became obsolete.....Years ago, we depended upon guys' info who actually worked on cars/trucks/suv's.....then that info would go into a large telephone book type parts directory.

Yup... those were the books I was referring too. Every Oreilly's has several and many cross-reference books as well. I have been playing with cars and trucks since I was 15. From the first book I bought which literally was for building small block Chevy engines. Something like the pic below... it was so long ago I don't remember the exact book. Everyone would come over to my house and we would work on whatever car someone would bring. A `67 Chevy truck (my first car audio related install - blew both headlights) a `70 Cutlass with a 350 Rocket, `78 Camaro (best friends car "305") another `78 Camaro (my brothers car "350"), my first car, a 1972 Firebird Formula with a 455 H.O. built for 1/4 mile drag racing. We had to figure out so much crap about cars through trial and error and going to parts stores. Well before internet and cell phones stated making us dumber.
