I was in Best Buy today and an employee was doing it. He wasn't putting the volume up to instant destruction levels, but from a few feet away you could hear the sub bottoming out. It was two RF subs. I saw they were 500 RMS, but I do not know the model. Nice way to demo the subs, the port on the box was falling off. But it was enough to attract some white trash looking kids over. I guess thats what sells the subs. And its not the first time I have seen an employee at Best Buy kick up the volume on some RF subs until you could hear them bottoming out.

it's probably cuse they know someone has to pay for it and its not them. I think its pretty lame as well. I'm younger then the OP but i know everyone's just trying to make money and ******** it up for them (even if BB is a coporation) is just messed up.

that isnt really even it.... its ALOT different than cutting the cone out of one of ure friends subs or somthing... best buy has MILLIONS of dollars within the corporation not to mention seemingly endless stock. one blows it is no big deal to go in back and get another one... are u tellin me that all the people here saying "**** kids today" NEVER did anything to destroy property or set back an emplyee at a story at any time in any way shape or form? cmon now...

the dude told me the subs he blows for sales he just throws them away, and the ones on the shelf are BRAND NEW SHIPPED TO THE STORE UNOPENED, it's not like walmart where you blow a sub and they put it back on the shelf i fell for it onetime, i thought the sub was fine, was blown, **** that store

i bought some speakers at best buy brand "new" in the box and they were both cracked + missing pieces and just destroyed..it wasnt from dropping it either they probably just switched them out with the floor model then they were *****ing that i did it..i hate that place

Why complain, by doing so BestBuy is contributing to the audio manufacturers thus expanding the car audio market. I'm betting BestBuy doesn't pay retail price, but the audio manufacturer will still gain a profit from selling to BestBuy. Every sub you blow is a winfall for Alpine, RF, JENSEN, and my all time favorite Dub edition subwoofer (at WalMart).

That's not true. They send defective merchadise back to the manufacturer for a refund.
