my new jetta...choices

I just got a 2002 jetta gls yesterday and I love it..

its got the monsoon sound system and i have been researching and here are my options

1. keep OEM HU. install sub by splicing the inputs to the OEM amp and installing LOC. install ipod interface through CD changer controls.

2. buy new HU. plus 100 for integration with monsoon amp. plus another 100 for steering wheel control interface.

what would be the better route?

yeah, that would be the best way, but im in high school so i dont have a ton of money

i also need to buy sub and amp...

and i want to get a GLI front and rear valance.

Is The Steering Control the Peswix?

OMG I Hate them.. they work ok but are a Pain in the *** to install

im not sure, guy at the shop just explained to me what it would cost...

i talked to him again today and im thinking right now im gunna just get an ipod interface and then get a cleansweep to add a sub

Why not just get the system in there for now and when monies does come along u buy the new HU and wheel controls?

well i could, but i want/need to buy other stuff for the car, so i'm looking for the least expensive route

i could put a sub in now using a LOC and then upgrade to a cleansweep
