Finally got everything installed... The RE 10, the CDTs (again), and the 1100d5... Sounded great... Needed to mess with a few settings, but really sounded decent for what it is...

Anywho, I was rolling to my buddies' house and all of a sudden it just all cut off... Got to their house, checked the main fuse... good... Checked my ground and power and probed the remote with a dmm... good... RCAs... good...

After looking around, I think I figured out what happened. On these modle directed amps their gains and fq settings and everything are on top of the amp behind a window... I simply left the window off, not really thinking it was a big deal.... Well what I failed to realize is that the window also holds down a metal plate!! What it looks like happened was that the metal plate bounced up slightly and actually slid into the amp a tiny bit.... Without takin off the cover I am assuming it bridged something that wasn't supposed to be bridged and shorted out the amp... Only logical explination I have come up with... I'm going to bust it open tomorrow and see if I am right....

I guess the reason I post this is in hopes that I may have overlooked something and this is not the problem... And it did help a little to vent my stupid mistake.

I'm gonna guess gains were too high and nothign to do with that metal plate.
I'm gunna guess you're very wrong!!!!! Gains were extremely low as I just installed this....

As for protect light, nope... nothing....

As for being cursed... I'm beginning to think so!

Not that hot really... I mean warmer than the other D-class amps I've owned recently, but for an ab amp it wasn't very warm... I just need to bust the case open and look at the internals and see what's up....

Well I think this is the first time that I am glad I am an idiot. Upon physically inspecting the fuse it looked fine... I then measured across it and got 0 volts, so I thought all was good... Well what I failed to do then was actually put it in the holder and measure across the holder!!!! I was getting crazy off the wall numbers and not 0!!! Then measure in front of the fuse (and to a ground) and got a a wonderful 12 volts, but then behind it I got some crappy 9volts... Bought a new fuse and now all is good!!

Moral of the story... When a fuse looks fine, it may not be!!! I guess measuring across a fuse without any current going through it is a little difficult to determine if the fuse is good or not... Either way, got it sounding pretty nice!!!!

Yeah if your using AGU ...glass fuses they can really fool you...I think they get hot and become unsoldered or something...I've seen many that have done that....In fact a friend stopped by last week with the exact same prob...they said they had been going 2 months without music...thought their amp was bad...It was the fuse...lol It looked perfect...
