Well guys

Hate that for you dude. I've got a disc that bulges every once in a while & I'm sure will end up being a pretty serious problem at the rate it's going. Back pain is the worst kind. Hope for the best, plan for the worst as the old adage goes.

I was in that position Buck..I was out for just a little over a month,It was pure H E L L.I am type that has to get up and do something, rather than watch a tv program.Trust me, Take your time and soak in the tub at least once a day and relax.if you can make it out to the garage, find a project to do that is easy to get too ya know.try cooking a real meal man.Rather than nuked stuff.Time consuming stuff man.I know its boaring and youre confined , but dont rush it bro.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Ya I've kinda had to learn that the hard way. I'm in a hurry to do nothing. Hands down the worst part of this is trying to take a dump. It's so difficult.
lulz were had. but we do need more health friendly toilets.

i just got a **** Sty myself . so im sharin the broken pain!

Hope it goes well. But not to scare you too much, I've not known many who come out much better than when they went in just different. My brother had his operated on and he said the same thing with people he's talked to, he's still in pain and is limited in what he can do he just said it's a different pain.

Dude, honestly at this point- I don't care. This pain is ridiculous. People who've had surgery that I know tend to come out better. Here in Nashville we actually have really good medical institutes, the main one being Vanderbilt (ground breaking technologies and research). We have St. Thomas, which is really good for hearts as well. I'm having my back surgery at Centennial Hospital. So, I hope this all works out good. I don't really have a choice.

Let me explain how severely f'd I am. My doctor pretty much asked me, like, how are you working right now? How can you walk? You know you're risking permanent back injury at this point (loss of motor skills in my left leg)? I will never forget the look on his face. He didn't ask me if I wanted surgery, I was told I was getting surgery. There's nothing else they can do besides operate. So, that's how it's going to go.

Oh I believe you, man. I wish you nothing but the best and hope it comes out great for you, can't imagine how hard that is. Had fascia release surgery on my foot because it was tearing whenever I walked, thought that ordeal was bad but can't really compare to severe back issues.

Idk. Anything that impairs walking is bad. Well, this impairs sitting too. I can't sit in a chair for any extended period of time. It takes me about 5 mins to stand up straight after I get out of the chair.

I still do 50-100 push ups a day though. Doesn't hurt my back, as long as that left leg stays straight. Good release of excess energy there.
