Gotta have back surgery. L5 herniated disk. I looked at the MRI's. As we go down the back from top to bottom, there are your disks and then there is the spinal column. They run parallel to each other. So the MRI is looking like you were looking down at the top of your head. Well, right as you get to the bottom of my back, my spinal column disappears in the MRI's. My disk has completely engulfed it. Very, very painful. So, my doctor gave me a "LOL you're fuxored" kind of look. So I'm having surgery, probably in March. Wish me well I guess. This is going to suck.

Good luck, and take your time when healing and trying to do things. I broke my back in October 2010 and had to have rods and screws put in to hold me together (fusion of T12, L1, L2). Apparently I completely destroyed L1.

Just take it slow and you will be good.

Im still not doing the knife cutting, I have L5/S1, and L4/L5..T8,T9,T11,T12.Had an IDET done on L4/L5,and L5/S1 about 2yrs ago,and worked very well for me.They no longer do them here. Not sure if they do not do any longer period within the Industry, but did work for 2yrs.I need 2-3cage Fusions done, but havent made that decision as of yet.On medication, and dealing with daily Bs.I understand the nature of your situation, and wish you the best.I know its not an easy decision to make by any means.Alot at stake making that decision.I recommend investing in a jacuzzi in the near future.Good luck to you, and dont rush anything..Wear slippers/and get some BioFreeze/Performance ointment.

I'm with this guy.
Well, I take Oxycottens, and Hydrocodones/,Methocarbamol for musclerelax/Tramadols/and Nabutome also.I prob spelt all of them wrong, but you guys should be able to understand them.Im pretty sick and tired of taking them.IVe become ammuned to them, and function normal as any other person, except I have my days/moments.Work weekly..Got to eat..//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/santa.gif.e1ec9cf2e0a0dd232ad35aa594a126d0.gif

hey man. i have the same story. all my L5-L4 fluid was released do now I have not cushion. the fluid leaked on to my nerves and created pressure. The body can not absord that fluid they said, and propssed that I get those dis taken out and have new ones put in with the risk of being paralized from waist down. about 3 months after that visit, the pain slowly went away, turns out the fluid spread away from the nerves so the pressure on the nerves subsided. but the disk are still bad. but havent given my issues enough to risk surgery. They also suggested so nerve deadening drugs, um no thanks.

hey, i think i've met your surgeon!!
