How do you come up with 80% as much "ampacity"? I suppose I could agree if we're talking about 10' of copper and 5' of aluminum.

this thing is HUGE, at a shop near my place has some and is 14$ A SINGLE FOOT, but they were insanely flexible and was soft and BIG, might be interesting to compare...

What about someone stripping the jacket off of say 1' of each wire and then weighing it. Wouldn't that give a better indicator of the copper content?

they do look alike, but I think the one i'm talking about is thicker, I mean I was pretty impressed how fat it was... I asked him how much a foot, expecting maybe 4to6$, then tells me 14$//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif , starts telling me its competition grade, ultra-flow, all these blah blah blah ya know? it was funny, but thats way too much money though on power wires...

The 1st pic is basically useless without Knu Kolossus.

That stuff is so monster and will not fit into any 1/0 ga terminal unless you trim it.

Ive used WS and cobra 4/0ga, the cobra looks to be a bit larger overall.
