Weird idea for a stereo setup? stoned?

Yeah it would definitely be too much work and too time/money/space consuming to actually DO, but it still seems like the best possible setup to reproduce sound would have the signal separated into instrument tracks and put through equipment designed to reproduce that exact frequency range in the most optimized way possible.

It would be so clean and pleasing.

Also, @work so no link to ebaums for me, but hooray for drugs indeed.

Oh nice, its one of those people who is so terribly insecure that they attempt to glean some semblance of self esteem from the fact that "drugs are bad" and they would never lower themselves to the realms of psychological impairment from their use. Bet that doesn't stop you from getting wasted.
Drug use has been a part of the human experience since before recorded history, and as long as one maintains balance, responsible drug use is a valuable and enriching activity.

Keep funding D.A.R.E. Keep supporting Bush. Keep yourself ignorant, closed minded, and uninformed.

Keep yourself dumb, but most of all, keep yourself arrogant you backwards *** cliche.
I dont drink, i dont do drugs, i save my money for more important stuff

y dont you go to oakland or SF and see where many people ended up because of drugs...............i am very informed, but im not stupid

You are stupid, sir, as you just spoke in sentence fragments laced with letters in place of words.

You are uninformed, sir, as you just openly admitted that you are generalizing on an ancient practice that spans hundreds of cultures, billions of people, and thousands of years on the basis of the worst case scenario type people that you have seen or met in "Oakland or SF".

Sorry you lose.

I have a good job in IT and more money than I need to fuel my trifling 40 dollar a week pot habit. Your half-cocked vague assumptions about the only possible result of casual drug use couldn't be more off-base. You are drowning horribly, and your only defense is to run back to your stereotypes of what happens to people who do drugs that you probably picked up from government sanctioned after school specials in the 70s.

So instead, how about I laugh at you for being (on a public forum no less) called out on how little you understand about something that you felt the need to make insulting comments about?

Next time keep your mouth shut when your head is empty.

ACTUALLY... This is not a bad idea. The way music is rectorded there can be 20 different microphones going! NO shit. If youve ever used Pro Tools or watched and participated in the acual recording of music, they lay down anywhere from 1 to as many as they need tracks at the same time. Then, they edit the specific levels of each microphone to achieve musical balance. When it is played, all 20 tracks simultaneously play over the same two speakers (studio monitors) unless they are going for 5.1 encoding, which complicates the process further.

Really it would not take much to achieve 20 channel audio, just rig up a computer and Pro tools to sned signal to 20 sperate outputs. However, the problem mostly is that with 20 channel audio is it takes so much memory for an electronic source to read that and process all of that. It takes a pretty powerful computer to just play all those recorded tracks at the same time. So, you'd hav to have a nice little carputer with plenty of RAM and memory- 20 track audio at 128k per channel is 2560kbps playing music. I guess one song can take up a gig of hard drive space or more.

Worst thing about it would be getting all the levels right in the car to compensate for 20 seperate soundstages. Then, you switch songs, and it has to be changed again, most likely.

How many kids at your school have died from smoking pot?

Do you know how many marijuana overdoses there have been?

Zero.

Stay in school, kid. You have a lot to learn about life and if you know what's good for you you will think twice about the absolute drivel you seem to be chugging down. How old are you? 15? 16? And you say you support Bush? Do you understand the geopolitical sphere enough to back that up? I doubt it.

And you are here preaching about the evils of drugs (which, by the way, you encapsulate into a broad term of "drugs", which is already a massive fallacy) on the basis of the kid at your school who got hooked on Oxycontin and died of a heroin overdose when he couldn't afford the pharmacudical equivilent anymore, right?

Guess who helps the pharmacudical companys make lots of those Oxycontins that millions of kids get hooked on? The government.

The point is, you have absolutely, postively ZERO basis to preach to anyone about ANYTHING. You are barely coherent in your explainations, and your information is all stemming from propaganda and the casualties of your suburban school.

Shit is a lot more complex than "Drugs are bad and people who do drugs are doomed to failure."

I think people who barely think about anything beyond what they are told are doomed to failure, and you bet your barely-pubescent *** I could make a better argument for that than you have about drug use leading inevitably to ruin.

In closing, please die, or in lieu of this, PLEASE do not reproduce.
