Weird idea for a stereo setup? stoned?

I was really high the other day in my car and I was thinking that it seems lik ethe best possible way you could reproduce music is to have a file format that encoded each instrument and every drum on its own 'track' so there would be like 20 tracks including every drum, that you could split up into like a 10-way setup with each speaker configured and chosen to accurately reproduce the track/instrument they would be playing and there'd be no muddled sound or recovery time distortion.

Wait what? Wsa that one sentence?

I'm still high now.

Oh nice, its one of those people who is so terribly insecure that they attempt to glean some semblance of self esteem from the fact that "drugs are bad" and they would never lower themselves to the realms of psychological impairment from their use. Bet that doesn't stop you from getting wasted.

so you're thinking along the lines of some dolby digital type deal? where like vocals have thier own speaker and each instrument has its own speaker? its possible i guess, but too much work...

the thought's crossed my mind as well

i've also thought about reproducing music through midi controlled instruments

imagine being able to plug in a real piano, and having it played along with the music.....

or a drumset somehow.... that'd be nuts
