Wattage to Type R?

I was curious to see what everyone here runs their Type R's at? I am having trouble deciding between amps because I was looking at running the sub at one ohm and sending either 1100 or 1200 watts into it. I am concerned that since the peak is 1500 and the RMS is 500, I could easily blow the sub by putting too much wattage into it...

Would 800 watts be enough to make the sub "bump" (for lack of a better word) well?

Seriously though... Depending on the box I think 800 should be plenty

Ive searched and can't really find it. Im waiting for PMs back from people who have Type R's since I asked them what they run into them. I search Type R and get a ton of threads but can't really find what people run into em.

I wish I could get an unsarcastic answer though...

So should I run the sub at 1 ohm and turn the wattage down to 800 so I can turn it up later or run the sub at 2 ohms and get the 800 watts there?
