Wanting to build my first subs

So, I have 2 motors that I want to build up, but don't really have an idea of where to start. The first motor I have, is an newer Orion hcca motor from the 10'' which means it has a 3'' vc, this motor currently has a shifted top assembly, I'm going to try and get this fixed this weekend at a local shop that does it for cheap.

The next motor I have, is a tc 3hp motor from a lightning audio x1.

I really have no clue on where to start on this, and would appreciate all the help I could get. I do know I want to make both handle about 2k+ daily and would like them to be 12s.

So please caraudio.com, pimp my subs!

Dude...you need to get 2 matching motors first....lol.

Get yourself some 12" baskets.

Call pap/fi/psi/etc.....get the soft parts.

Build said sub - or send it to one of them to get built.

the hcca you have i bet is a dual 3/4" slug tc9.

i can fix the shifted top plate for you no problem. can also recone 4 ya....

I am building for custom installs lol =] lol so no they will not be run together.

Thanks for the offer spl, but if you have the materials I'd like to buy them off you if you have the materials for both subs =] I want to learn how to do it myself =]

Measure up your motors then. Get the id an od of the gap, vc ww needed, former length, resistance, layer and metal type.

I think some of their prices are reasonable. They charge too much for paint, though...

What don't you get lol =P it has a shifted top plate lol you can't measure the gap the way it is =] I was hoping someone knew on here haha
