Featured Wanting to upgrade Prius speakers

I bought a 2014 type 2 prius a few months back and I'm looking to up grade the front door speakers. I have the speakers in the image below but I'm not sure if they would be te best fit. They're 2 ohm. Everything I see says 4 ohm is the way to go without an amp. I just want to replace the speakers so they sound crisper. I don't need anything super loud. Any suggestions?

Crutchfield says no. Sell them or get a line output converter and a small amp. Great speakers nonetheless.

Like mentioned, your radio won't handle those. Also, your factory radio would not do those speakers justice. If you are looking for a more crisp sound, listen to some speakers with a titanium dome tweeter. Also, you don't need speakers that handle over a ton of power. Try looking for speakers that are under 40 watts RMS.

I have Infinity Reference speakers in my lower door and rear shelf. Both are driven by amplifiers. I like them a lot.

I have a couple pair of 6x8 Kappa's in my F150. I am extremely happy with them. I have them running off a PPI PC1000.5D amp.
