Remember what I told you.

Use LOTS of wood glue, it BONDS much better that liquid nails. Only use liquid nails when you don't have a straight edge... and need to fill/adhere at the same time.

I'd recommend some 2X4 angle braces like you see on the right/left of the pic here...

And, like I said... use wood glue first... then if you want put liquid nails on top to adhere and fill gaps more.

Why should I calm down Ive told him 5 times already I dont want his advice and he keeps shoving it down my throat. I dont care if he invented the sub himself I declined his help and he keeps pushing it. He keeps guessing on what ive done and I dont feel like confirming nor denying as I dont need to prove my build to him. Just cause I dont post my builds up here for the shittalking crews to see doesnt mean Ive never build before, and Im also pissed because I told Kenny not to post this thread to begin and when I got a bullshit 2 day ban he decides to post this thread.
That isnt he point. I've built quite a number of boxes....a good handful or two that got pretty **** loud. When I went in making my Street B box I thought I had it right... people gave me advice and it turned out BETTER. Stay open minded and dont get winney about a 2 day ban. I've had a 7 day bull shit Ban and a 1 month bull shit ban that was lifted. You dont see me getting angry about it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif

Alright, I understand WHY Mario (Ruckus) said not to post this... because everyone went from YO THATS SO PHAT YO to WTF IS THAT GOOD LUCK HITTING A 140 YO in two seconds. Tommyk and I spoke after this thread's active streak tonight, and he offered some great suggestions. I was mad at Mario for being mad at me and we're both hard-headed anyways.
Mario is an awesome enclosure builder, so for anyone that doubts his work, numbers will prove you wrong my friends. I'm going over Mario's tomorrow morning to heat up the resin, remove the 45 degree angle cuts near the top, putting another sheet of MDF to the top (WITH LIQUID NAILS and screws) and reattaching the 45s.

We will eventually be reinforcing the wall with 2x4s on the outside, no doubt. This is a wall log, it is in no way finished. Why did that side piece move from the top? Honestly because we sort of rushed things and the Liquid nails in no way set completely before we started screwing 45s into it.

Instead of flaming guys, why not offer suggestions or just waiting for more progress? You guys want to see build pics, but what you guys are doing is encouraging me to leave the camera at home and just take pictures when it's all done. Do you really want that? I know I love me some good worklogs.
Nobody doubts his enclosure skills. They where just saying the top need some fixing. It is a log, that is understood. They where giving suggestions on how to further the project. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

you know what, I never said I was not gonna finish the box. I never wanted the pics posted to begin with because I dont care for the criticism this forum has over builds. As for Tommy, maybe I did over react but lets face it Ive gotten into it more than once with you over this forum and really dont care for you too much because of it, and maybe thats why I didnt want your advice and overreacted on it. I didnt want the pictures posted because see how quick it became a "nVRuckus" build no its not I helped as well as 5 other people. I didnt even do the mounting of that top piece but I gotta hear shit over it as if I did it. yes I planned on bracing the outside yes I planned on putting a 2nd baffle on the top. The front is a dual baffle so I dont know where anyone got the idea it was a single. I just happened to put mat on the inside baffle for added support. I appolgise for jumping on everyone including kenny but I dont post my pics of my builds on here because I dont take criticism very well expecially when it is for the most unjust criticism and I wouldnt be hearing it if the pics were not posted as I asked.
It takes a lot to admit your wrong and I think everyone should give nVRuckus a lot of credit for it. Good job bro!!

x2, tommy didnt start the argument. everyone knows who did. but hopefully that is over.

whats funny is no one is listening to Audio Anonoymous...Geoff is a world record holder definately overbuilds his setups....nice guy and is loud...

I would take up every bit of information he gave me if i was you guys =)

I appreciated the help of my team members... and despite what most of you are saying, the wall is solid. It can be improved, and it will be.

I need to find someone down here with a table saw so I can cut an inch off of a piece of MDF I bought today. That piece will go on the inside of the wall attached to the top with Titebond II that I bought today and screws. I will screw the sides into it and get that piece that moved back in place.

Any other suggestions? I'm probably not going to knock down the wall and rebuild, so don't suggest it. 2x4s all around the wall when it's all done might be a possibility though.

i would seriously give some attention to the 2x4s holding the front of the wall up....would build it up more solid under there...thats my opinion. do it like robin did mine. mine isnt going anywhere.
As one of the final steps of the build, I will surely reconsider the support options. There is a metal "raise" in the middle of the wall that most of the weight sits on, it does not bend AT ALL with my 210 pound *** in it.

If you have the room, stack 2x4's ALL AROUND the enclosure, wherever you can. Kind of like my teammates van.

Thats a view looking through the sliding door. Makes everything EXTREMELY solid. There's two layers of MDF underneath those 2x4's as well.

Also, if you have the room, do a triple baffle. I'd hate to see those BTL's shake their way out of the baffle because the screws didn't have enough material to bite in to. The key to building walls is there is no such thing as "too much" or excessive.
