Walling off my car, part 2 (the pics thus far)

We were planning on doing X braces on the outside walls since we had space. I don't remember the edges looking as bad as those pics, I coulda swore they lined up better. As of now the top piece sits into the back piece but only on top of the sides. In hindsight, I think it might have worked better to make the outside side piece taller so and the top shorter so that it could have sat on the inside side piece and we coulda screwed the outside side piece into the top, if that made any sense rofl. Like what Tommy said. I have never claimed to know everything about doing this shit rofl, but for a first one I think it turned out pretty good. The 45's are screwed into the sides and top in all corners pulling it down onto the sides and closing the gap tight with the liquid nails. Plus the 2 front baffles will screw into the top, so I think it should hold well. There's no way we're getting a drill on top of the box to screw it down though. If it ends up ******* that bad, he can just saw it apart and unbolt it and pull it out.

SO the top wasnt screwed to anything? how is the back attached? you guys did some really jank work.. those little 45s aint gonna do a dern thing.... might as well take it apart and do it correctly

The VERY first thing I would do, to make that whole box infinitely stronger, would be to tear out those angles and add another layer to the top, on the inside. That way you could screw the side walls IN TO a top layer, and then screw that 2nd layer to the top layer, pulling it down tight.
I think this would make a HUGE difference in the strength of the top. It may sacrifice a SMALL portion of airspace and a few cubic inches of port area, but it would be WELL worth it in terms of box rigidity.
i would do that to for sure.. its worth the couple inches of port area

Yeah, I think we should do that. Easiest way to strengthen the top without ripping the whole thing apart. As I'd like to see what it does before we ruin the whole thing.
Thank you.

Somebody who takes advice seriously. I hope that kenny and yourself can finish the build without the "expert knowledge" that NvRuckus so generously provided from the beginning.

you know what, I never said I was not gonna finish the box. I never wanted the pics posted to begin with because I dont care for the criticism this forum has over builds. As for Tommy, maybe I did over react but lets face it Ive gotten into it more than once with you over this forum and really dont care for you too much because of it, and maybe thats why I didnt want your advice and overreacted on it. I didnt want the pictures posted because see how quick it became a "nVRuckus" build no its not I helped as well as 5 other people. I didnt even do the mounting of that top piece but I gotta hear shit over it as if I did it. yes I planned on bracing the outside yes I planned on putting a 2nd baffle on the top. The front is a dual baffle so I dont know where anyone got the idea it was a single. I just happened to put mat on the inside baffle for added support. I appolgise for jumping on everyone including kenny but I dont post my pics of my builds on here because I dont take criticism very well expecially when it is for the most unjust criticism and I wouldnt be hearing it if the pics were not posted as I asked.
