Wait so when you start the car it drops to 13.8v? that's completely normal concidering it takes a lot of CCA to start most vehicles depending on if it's a truck or if it's cold. I'm not quite getting your question though.

alright i used to go up to 14 or so stable at idle. after a start. now its 14 then slams down to 13.8/13.3 and jumps around a bit. im thinking its a ground but idk where

what kind of car many new cars have a voltage control on them. my 2011 cruze wouldnt charge over 12.8 parked, 13.8 driving and 14.8 hitting the brakes. my truck also does something similar as the svrc module controls the voltage

cant find anything saying that car has voltage regulation though some of the earlier hondas had it so idk, id definitely check your engine ground then your alt post connection the moving engine could of worked your connection loose

if your voltage drops at high rpms then your alt is due to die anyday mine did this,

i found the problem. the amp being grounded on the rear battery. dont do it. it hurt me bigtime. moved the amp ground fromm battery back to the frame. im fine

i was always told too and im getting flamed on FB for saying not to go to the batt but idgaf because i never had any problem til then. went right back to the frame and i sit at 14.3 again
