voltage issues

well here is another thing i dont have the batteries grounded to each other but usung the frame as a common ground.... i wont reccomend grounding to the batt but on the bright side my redtop gets here tomorrow!

Should the added batteries be grounded to each other or grounded at the frame? The front battery is probably 10ft from the two I'm adding
well i didnt do it because it really isnt needed from what i know. i use the frame as a common ground. BUT alot of people say to link them. i have a wetcell up front and a vrla/agm in the rear so i didnt link them. just ran pos to pos then frame ground

bro its all good. ask questions when you get them
Sounds to me like you increases Resistance on the grounds by not grounding the rear battery to the front battery so it was trying to ground to the chassis in 2 spots. I've ALWAYS known batt grounds to be the best hands down so if it's not working then it's another problem. Not bashing your or flaming you man but don't blame the way every basshead has grounded because you had one incident where it didnt work out so well.

I'm almost 100% that's what happened. But I'm glad you're back to normal now gj.
