voltage drops

hey i went ahead and bought a stinger volt-meter connected it by one of my sub amps and i still get reading down to 10 volts with the music only mayb 60 percent up should i connect it in another spot or is that spot ok

Yeah, put the probes on the power wire and ground wire of the amplifier. Multimeter on DC. Do not put it on the wires that go to your speakers. M

The AudioControl LC7i has a maximum output voltage of up to 8.5volts. It can output up to 8.5 volts which is more than a typical aftermarket head...
