Voltage drop

Oh boy...here goes.

First off, you should use 4g or 1/0 as your main power wire. Having 8ga wire is not why your getting voltage drops. The 8ga is restricting current flow, upgrading to bigger wire will allow more current to flow thus ******* more current from your electrical system causing more voltage drops. To stop voltage drops get a nice new battery, something big, if that doesn't do it depending on your stock alt size you might want to get a new alt. And on top of that there is no point AT ALL to use 1/0 for your big three on a stock alternator. 1/0 is good for 300 amps and your stock alternator is probably only 80-100 amps depending on your vehicle. The stock wiring is probably fine as is.

I disagree based off my own experience with upgrading wiring while using a stock alt.

just break open your piggie bank and buy 0ga for everything before you burn the car to the ground or burn up that amp cause it got to be getting hot as hell if it making power
