So I have a JL Audio 450/4 slash v2 amp. I'm using it to power my front stage which is a 4 ohm passive system. The amp sends 150 amps on channels 1 and 2 and 75 watts on channels 3 and 4. I want to use channels 3 and 4 to power a pair of 8 inch peerless SLS drivers but they are 8 ohm. I could wire them in parallel and bridge channels 3 and 4, but I'd lose the ability to balance left and right, but maybe that wouldn't matter since it is just rear fill dedicated midbass. Bridged it would send 150 watts at 3 ohms. Currently my rear fill is a passive 4ohm setup, but if i just ran the peerless 8's then I figured to run it active off the amplifier. Is there a way to keep the tweeter rear fill and run it passive with an 8 ohm driver driven by a 4 ohm amp.? Anyone got a way to wire these drivers to my amp?
