well i guess u got me there! but i wouldnt get it, theres much better for the money (they sell that polk 10 that i had at circuitcity for 60 bucks in the 12" model)

The volfenhags for the money are a decent sub, i've run 2 10's with 600watts rms to each and they pound pretty hard, the sound quality is fair but common 2 subs for 80 bucks, that's not bad, i've heard of people blowing them but from accual experience of running them day by day and occassionally burping them at thier max (i put about 900watts to each) they've held together. If you're looking to run in competitions then dont buy them, if you're looking for cheap SPL and u have the power to feed them go for it, just dont pay too much for them. $45 a sub is about right, buy them used to.....

They are all show, from the things I have heard about them they fall apart and are easy to burn up the voice coils.

Has anyone ever picked up a Volfenhag and one of those upper level Pyramid subs? Their motor structures are almost identical, and the subs weigh the same. I thought about buying one before I knew anything about systems... To make a long story short, i have a crappy Polk 10 too, and it is heavier (ie probably better built) than a 15" Volfie. I'd say they're ok if you find them dirty cheap, but don't count on it doing anything spectacular. At best you could call it a "premium/junk audio/anomaly in red."
