very bad voltage drop on 1k rms

My electrical big 3 upgrade .3 optimas in The back .4 runs of 4 gauge . Amp is alpine pdx 1.1000 @ 1ohm,

Voltage drop is from 14.4- 12.5 on hard bass notes.

My question is the wal mart battery in the front causein all this?/

Where did you ground to? Did you do any prep work before grounding the wire?

make sure you sanded down those grouding spots...

even off 1000 watts the lowest i dip is 14v, and i have a 100 amp alt, big 3, 1 stinger spv70 in back, 55 ah up front.

1 0 gauge run.

Well then u either have a bad alt or bad batts. 1k on 2 batts with a 105alt and dropping to the 12's is not normal..

ground to the frame less than 5 inches long ground . scraped sanded untill seen shiny metal and cleaned up a little and called it good. use of 0 gauge ground and and couple of 4 gauge for the rest of the batterys.

Go go to auto zone and get ur batts and alt checked its free so why not.

if you do go have them tested test each batt while not hooked into the batt bank.

check the alternators volts for charging with a multimeter.

you don't have the walmart battery wired to the optimas do you? i hope not

I was told by 3 different companies that you should never wire batteries together that arent the same.

I am assuming he has a lead acid with the agm. Unless the walmart is an agm

pretty sure that amp isnt one ohm stable. i might be wrong though but it could be drawing too much power more than it should
