well after many weeks of flopping back and forth i finally sucked it up and ordered some equipment at 3am this morning after work.

equipment list for the van will go as follows

32 hfi12d4s

4 audiopipe 1500s at 1 ohm

4 audiopipe ap2004 each channel at 2 ohms

32 6.5" speakers

still saving for alts

still looking for cheap batteries

im basically building a giant budget setup using some pretty well known budget equipment. the only thing i cant find are super cheap speakers that wont sound like shit at loud volumes.

i am going in the morning to cash my check and pick up some mdf. im still looking for a box design but i figure im going to need a few sheets so i might as well go pick them up. i also will most likely be building a 2x4 cage to hold everything.

there is going to be nothing budget about a build like this, as the cost the equipment he has listed is only a fraction of the cost of a build like this. The electrical to back up even a "budget" system like this is a huge investment.

You are planning on putting in 32 mids/highs and you mention low volume! LOL

dude are you sure you can deal with a build like this? No offence ment, but I see conflict everywhere.

no one said low volume.. learn to read.... i think i have this covered. i agree it is over my head a little but its not my first system and i have definatly done research to know what i need. besides how i want my box

and as electrical goes. its only 6k ill probably have like 8 batts and a ho alt or 2

look into AudioPipes components. Im going to use them in my next install. they look great and are pretty cheap.

you may want to look into going DIY and get mids and highs from someone like parts express...

possibly for mids:

and for highs:

i actually thought about doing the peerless once before but i dont know much about tuning. im game for buying

some and maybe some horns if i can find a decently budget way to tune the things.. any help? 24 peerless 6s and maybe 4 horns?
