I didnt see anything about this as I skimmed through it but I would like to go ahead and make this point seeing as how Im studying to be a mechanical egineer and have a good bit of background in Chemistry and Physics also. First of all, it would it be **** near impossible to make the box vacuum sealed due to it being constructed out of wood and the speakers themselves not being air tight. Now, the more scientific explaination, vacuum sealing something means that you are taking all of the air molecules out of something. This means that there is absolutely NO pressure on the inside of this enclosure IF you do happen to make it vacuum sealed. Which means that there is A LOT of pressure coming in on it from the outside where all the air molecules are pushing down it it and there are none inside it to balance the pressure. This in turn means that the speaker will NOT hit or even move because there is so much pressure on it from the outside. And if you did get the speaker to hit, you would almost immediately tear it to shreds because of all the pressure on it and the rapid deformation of it.
-If you are too lazy to read all that or try to understand it, what Im saying is that since there are no air molecules to balance the pressure inside the box the same as the outside, the speakers flat out wont work properly. As a matter of fact, they will more than likely get severly damaged.
