Ups Can F*ckin **** My C*ck!!!!!

We buy from a local "Packaging Materials" company. You should be able to find one in the yellow pages if you are in a big city. We but in large sheets and cut and hot glue it to size.

I have an idea.... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/idea.gif.5acb6a39a9b92425414c316dda202bad.gif

Why doesn't someone make a sticky on how to properly package a sub woofer for shipment? I see at least one of these types of threads a week and I think it would save some grief for a few people.

I would do this myself but seeing that I have never packaged and shipped a woofer to anyone, I am sure that you would want someone more experienced telling you what to do.

I hope the box I shipped doesn't happen like this.

I used that foam that comes in PE boxes at the bottom, then surrounded the baset with bubble tape, then added packing peanuts so it doesn't move.

Then I took it to fedex where the put it in a bigger box and said the item was worth $250. I hope everything works out well.

yea not ups fault that the shipper doesnt know how to package a sub..
take a look at how dd packages there speakers... 3 " of foam //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
thats cuz they know whats up.

out of all the speakers ive sent to DD, and all the speakers they've sent me, not ONE has been damaged. shit a 9510 i had sent to me ended up SIDEWAYS in the box in the original DD packaging. and nothing was wrong with it. People need to get smarter on packaging heavy things.

i live in a rural state and we have hardly any industrial suppliers around here

any idea of the name of the material i would need? i know its closed cell foam, but arent there different densities? also what do you use to cut them to be so perfect fit to the sub?

The safest shipper i know of besides my company //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif is fed ex. they handle stuff the best out of the big companies. Ups is trash. dont mark your box fragile whatever you do. it gives them a reason to play football with your package. I have seen it with my own eyes. Dhl from my experiance is good as well. They are most likely like my company and use other shippers to deliver packages out of their area. We use ups for most shipments outside ontario. However we inspect each parcel, and if we deem it to not be packaged properly, we wont ship it out because we know what ups is like.
