Setting gain, how much power to feed 15" Type-R's?

Well its well known the type-Rs are underrated, but how much? i got about 2000watts to work with, and the RMS wattage on the 15's is 750. How much actual power to you type-r users give your subs for daily?

I powered my 10s with 900 and had no problem blowing them...so I would go with 1000 each to be safe

so pretty much dont worry about the gain then heh? 1000RMS a piece would just be all the amp can push. They could handle all that?......shweet

you have the right amp for the pair...now use the sticky to set your gains, lol

yeah i printed out a gain settin tutorial heh. everythings set up, now i just gotta fab up a battery holder for the kinetik2400 since its going under the hood, do the big 3, then drop the amp in.

I gave my 15 R 2000watts and only got a lil smell after 4-5 songs full tilt...this was in a 3.5cu box tuned to like 32ish..check sig for vid(rhymes)
