I worked at a UPS hub (Cerritos CA) for a year. Many of the belts are 20-30 ft high. I saw the belts so overloaded with packages that boxes were pouring over the 5 ft high side walls. The area below the belts was roped off so nobody would get killed by falling packages.
Insure everything you ship.

Many years ago I worked at UPS and we were only given a few minutes to unload a truck. That's right, minutes. Packages were required to be thrown off the truck onto a conveyor belt.

If you weren't moving fast enough the management would scream at you like a football coach. Move it! Move it!

So if you can imagine standing at the front of the truck and throwing packages out the back door into the warehouse that's exactly what happened.

That sucks man, funny experience with UPS today. I was at the bottom of my driveway (i live out on dirt roads that don't get plowed well) and the UPS man was sitting at the bottom of the driveway. So i asked him what was going on to see if he needed help. He said he couldn't find a certain house number so I told him there was a house upbehind mine. He's like well my truck won't make it up there so do you want to bring it up? I told him I didn't know if it was the house he was looking for or not, he was like, it don't matter just go up there and throw it on the front door. So he left me with a package, didn't make me sign for it, and it wasn't even mine D=. Luckily, i'm a good guy and dropped it off.
