Upgrading my budget system [Help Wanted] 6/29/2016

Any amps you would recommend? and I'm assuming 4 channel? Would the PPI 900.4 be something good for my situation?
Also can I run 150 watts through my speakers? the RMS rating is 180 but, 90 per side.
The speakers will handle it fine as long as you dont go crazy with the boosts, all your EQ and crossovers etc might need a different tune after the amp switch.

I'd go with a soundqubed 90.4 which is a better sounding amp than my ppi 900.4, power number isnt always everything.

keep in mind your component set is a 2 ohm load so it wont be 90 watts, it'll be 130 watts that soundqubed will put out. Good chance you'll fry the comps if you arent careful with the ppi 900.4 because its an upwards of 200 per side at 2 ohms.

Are you referring to this Amp? - DC Audio DC90.4K 90.4 130Wx4 4-Channel 520 Watt RMS Car Audio Amplifier/Amp cause **** that thing is expensive...

Sorry, Lol couldn't find the soundqbued so I figured it was the DC audio one.. haha Just wokeup...
Would their QP-MR6.5 6.5" mid rang speakers be worth checking out?
they get pretty loud, i used to have them. However I'd replace the JBL 6.5s with crescendo UN 6.5s if you want it excruciating loud and clean later on. But seriously, you need more power before thinking of swapping out speakers. You cant be feeding speakers 1/3 of their power and already judging them based on that bro.

Other option is the nvx jad 800.4 if you want to future proof for loudness

Either way that soundqubed will still get miles louder than your current puny alpine amp lol.

I'm honestly thinking about returning my jbl comps and buying those 6.5 and then QP-MR6 super tweeters or huge tweeters... Whatever they are. Not because I don't like them but those speakers look rad and they're cheaper. I'll also but a nice amp.

Buying a truck soon so I'm going to do whatever I want to it and do some modification and what not. I'll do some fiberglassing too.

Id do do crescendo, they sound better and louder, worth the extra dough.

Then go ahead and return it.

Do the crescendo

Ft-1s and un 6.5s or 8s if you can fit it. You should be able to fully use the active networks to your advantage with those.

So I'm assuming this PWX 8" Midrange Speaker - Crescendo Audio Factory Direct Online Store and this FT1 - Crescendo Audio Factory Direct Online Store Should I do the 6.5 and tweeters and then just buy another 8" later when I buy my truck then have those 3 for the front stage? What ohm load as well...? This as an amp.. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_40254_NVX-JAD800.4.html

I have seen people do 4 tweeters two in each door and 6.5s or 8s... How should I decide..? Say I had a car I wanted to drill into the door or fiberglass something what would be the ultimate setup? an 8", 6.5" and tweeter? or two tweeters and 8"?

Also I'm hoping I can return those jbl p660C speakers... w/Amazon

Again how did UN become PWX for you lol?

UN-65 6.5" Loudspeaker - Crescendo Audio Factory Direct Online Store

or the 8s

UN-8 8" Loudspeaker - Crescendo Audio Factory Direct Online Store

For the super tweeters, thats the basic silver one, if you want a black color they have it too

FT1 Black Series - Crescendo Audio Factory Direct Online Store

To be honest you wouldn't need a 3 way, with the right power and setup up right, your ears will beg for mercy even before you get anywhere close to max out of these. Especially the super tweeters, they can literally rip your ear drums apart.

Keep in mind these arent regular speakers, they are pro audio which have much higher sensitivity and can get WAY louder, designed to keep up with systems with four 15" subs on 5k rms or more

Pretty sure amazon will do a return.

Lol Idk how I keep messing this up, I was just about to edit my post changing to UN instead of PWX. What I'm thinking is returning the component setup, and then buying either a 6.5 or 8" UN- and then using my original kenwood tweeters until I have enough cash to buy those super tweeters. Then I'll buy that amp and run those. Again which do you think I'd prefer based on what knowledge you have of me? A 6.5" or 8" Only problem with 8" is that I don't think I can put it in my jeep until I get my own truck, where as the 6.5 I can and then it will also go in my truck. But the 8" looks more intriguing. Anyways what's the difference between the 8" and 6.5"?

more loudness overall, a bit more midbass as well. All due to more cone area. You can easily do two 6.5s in each door with your truck if you make some fiberglass pods and get louder than a single 8 because two 6.5s have more cone area than a single 8.

Sounds good, return those, use the kenwood tweets for now, run active with the UN 6.5s and get more power. Definitely want more power tho based on how your listening preferences sound like.

Hm, Awesome. You don't think I'll be wanting the 8" mids instead of the 6.5"s if I get them...?

Oh and to add...I may be selling my two pioneer subs and box to a friend who already has an amp for $200. Thinking I would use that cash to tryout that Dayton Audio RSS315HO-4 12" Sub you recommended, and I will build a box I guess.? IDK But, I have decided on the new car I'm getting (Well Truck). It's going to be a 4 door crew cab truck (Planning on a F350 Ford) But could be a different truck and I'm planning on trying to put the sub under the seat (Custom lifting the seat up or it will just have enough space) Thinking one of those Dayton Audio RSS315HO-4 12s will do the truck especially in a cab like that. What are your thoughts..?

Would also need a new mono sub amp and then also not sure If I would have it firing down, up, back towards the bed of the truck or towards the front..?

would need pics of the truck and exact dimensions in Width x Depth x Height and hold out on the sub setup before then.

IDK bud, if you want you can just hold out and wait till you get your truck and do two UN 10s in each door and two super tweets in each door if thats what you think will float your boat.

Lol I have absolutely no clue! But I'll probably stick with the 6.5" Un speaker since I'd technically be saving money by returning that setup and then I can actually use the kenwood tweeters. If you say it's as loud is it will be then I'll trust you and go with that. Do you think If I was to do a single 12" such as the one you suggested ( Dayton Audio RSS315HO-4 12) that It sound good in a truck like that (I have no doubts it will be loud). I'll see If I cant get dimensions. How big of a box is needed for that sub?
