Type X experience.

Yeah I got them stupid cheap. And I don't really plan getting into electrical to much and wanted sql so there perfect for me. Debating whether or not I should double my power.
Just remember, it takes power to make power, also, just because a sub is 'rated' at 1000wrms, does not mean you have to give it rms. That being said, you can provide 1000 watts to a sub rated at 500, if the signal is pure. If you.have the means to double your power, just make sure you.have.a.clean.signal, and mind your.gains.

If i increase power I'll probably just get an nice agm and go from there

Have you done the big3 yet? You may also want to put a small agm batt in the back, near the amp. I did, and it helped me a lot, on a crescendo bc2k, and now a IA20.1, no dimming at all now.
No. I have a run of 0 gauge for my dd m80b and I stay at 14.1 volts. So haven't been motivated for big 3 lol.

Where is Slocomb Al? I'm in Trussville.
I'm actually at fort Bragg NC right now but Slocomb is like 30 minutes outside dothan your a good 4 hours away at least. Slocomb my home town.

Wow...what ajackass
?? If it referring to me not doing big 3. I'm running under 1K no voltage or dimming issues. And I have decent stock size wire under the hood. So why would I? I went over 1K then I would do it for sure.

Disclaimer: I'm in not a noob. I just haven't heard any other type X set ups or know others who have ran them and couldn't find much info. So I figured someone had ran them before.

These woofers take a lot of power. I had 1 10" dual 2ohm in a box comparable to the jl w7 boxes they used to come with, the red eye box. Anyway i tested it on an old school amp i had, an Alphasonik PMA1000HCA. It sounded great and got down. I had the amp wired down to 1 ohm bridged for 3000rms watts...so they will get plenty loud and sound awesome doing it, again its all about the box really.

Yeah my comment was def directed towards you because of your replies not just to me but others as well. You just seem like a douchbag on this forum.

Another thing...companies don't rate their drivers rms for no reason...rather as a purpose. We all know good brands over cheapo brands...so the ratings as to wattage will differ. Another thing is warranty. If you have them on warranty and you blow them on more than rated they aren't gonna honor that warranty. Just sayin...

For daily I would probably do 1.5-2k on them.
Yeah I was guessing around 2K before rise.

Yeah they sound good right now on the 900 watts for the pair.

I ask because I did 12yrs in the army, did some trainig at Ft Bragg years ago.
Yeah but I'm only 19 and have been in just shy of a year. Hoping to go airborne while I'm here. Actually that's why I am here.

how do I sound like a douche? I don't post really all that much. And your on my thread **** talking but I'm the douche? They were bought used no warranty regardless. And yes company's put out rms but sometimes subs are capable of more or less. Just getting an idea where these subs shine at.
