Type R's or L7's any thought's

I am looking for a sub,or sub's to use in DB drag's. Would the type R's go louder (in spl) than the same size L7's ? What ever I buy will be ported and tuned at about 47HZ. I have also been told that 2 10's will produce more DB's than 1 12, is there any truth to that and will the cost of the second 10 realy be worth the extra DB's? Is there a better sub for comp's in this price range I don't know about? Please give thought's.

Another vote for the L7s.....my buddy had one 12" 02 model L7 tuned to 40 htz and it kicked ***.

What's a good spl box size for 2 10's at like 45 hz

whatever you do just make sure you have the room to build a box for the subs towards spl

get 1 l7 15 and put it in a box size of 6cf and tune it to about 40-43hz thatll give you a peak at about 60hz and still allow you to get low (although not too low) and still bump on the street.

if your only wantting to use it for DB drag you will be using test tones anyway and not music so if thats what your going for tune it higher

and throw about1500-1800rms at the sub and you will be **** loud, super loud really

The class I'm running is 1 12in or 2 10in. What's going to be louder...I'll be useing test tone's.
