The more I thought about that, I'm thinking that is a shame. 2 of those with the right amount of power could run you out of the car gasping for fresh air and and water. LOL

Yes I know they will, but the post was stating that they just dont cut it. The guy is only sending 500 rms to 2 of them. Go figure??

Type R's do NOT NEED 1000wrms each. I'm sick and tired of hearing that. Yes, they will take the 1000. If you are trying to reach the peak daily limits of the sub, go for it and be happy with your SPL oriented setup. 500wrms is plenty of power to get a Type R loud. With 1000wrms and a pair, they'll be stupid loud in the right enclosure.

And don't argue with me, because you all know that 500wrms will get a Type R loud and it will perform very nicely. Sure, there might be an extra couple db's available, but for daily driving it's really not too necessary.

I understand, but what I'm saying is the extra few db's you *might* get from doubling the power aren't going to make a big difference in a daily setup. In a db drag, sure it will and is obviously recomended. I'm just sick of hearing that people feel you need to power a Type R with 1000wrms to get it loud.
